Description

The Inverted Jenny 136 is based on the Inverted Jenny. Issued in 1918, this 24-cent U.S. postage stamp was intended to celebrate the dawn of airmail service. But a single sheet of 100 stamps was printed with a stunning error: the Curtiss JN-4 “Jenny” biplane at the center appeared upside-down.

Rather than being destroyed, this misprint slipped into circulation—and into history.

Today, the Inverted Jenny is not just a stamp. It’s a symbol of rarity, curiosity, and the unpredictable magic of human error. With only 100 original misprints ever released and fewer surviving in pristine condition, each Inverted Jenny is a portal into a bygone era of American innovation, aviation, and collecting lore.

Whether displayed in a museum, featured in an auction catalog, or carefully held in a private collection, the Inverted Jenny is more than a philatelic anomaly—it’s the Mona Lisa of stamps.

The cuts, are based on the fractal dragon curve – a shape of infinite complexity created through simple rules and repetition. First explored by mathematicians John Heighway, Bruce Banks, and William Harter in the 1960s, the Dragon Curve winds and folds like a mythical creature, revealing intricate patterns at every scale. The cuts have been changed to change it ‘challenging’ level. Featuring 136 pieces.
